🔁 Returns & Refund Policy
At Salon 500, your satisfaction is our top priority. We want you to love every product you purchase from us. However, if you’re not completely happy with your order, you may return it to us under the conditions outlined below.
1. Return Eligibility
- Returns must be made within 7 days of delivery.
- Products must be unused, unopened, and in their original, re-saleable condition.
- All tamper seals, labels, and original packaging must remain intact.
- Due to hygiene regulations, opened or used products cannot be returned.
- Brushes, cosmetics, hair care, and skincare products are non-returnable once opened, unless defective.
- Gift cards, promotional items, and sale items are non-returnable and non-refundable.
2. Proof of Purchase
To process any return or exchange, a valid proof of purchase (such as your order confirmation email or invoice) is required.
3. Return Authorization
All returns must be pre-approved by Salon 500.
Please contact our customer service team before sending back any items to obtain return authorization and instructions.
Unauthorized returns may be rejected or sent back at the customer’s expense.
4. Defective or Incorrect Items
If you receive a product that is defective, damaged, or incorrect, please notify us within 48 hours of delivery.
We will gladly arrange an exchange, replacement, or credit, depending on stock availability.
5. Return Shipping
- Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is defective or sent in error.
- The item remains your responsibility until it reaches us, so we recommend using a tracked courier service.
6. Refunds or Store Credit
- We offer a 7-day exchange policy from the date of purchase. Products must be returned to our store in their original, unopened packaging and at your own cost.
- Once the returned items have been inspected and approved, an exchange will be processed. Please note that a 20% handling fee may apply if the product has been opened or used.
- If you are exchanging for a different product, a delivery fee of R75 will apply for couriering the replacement items to you. Alternatively, we may issue a discount code equal to the value of the returned product.
7. Inspection & Rejection Clause
All returned items will be inspected upon arrival.
If a product is found to have been used, damaged, or tampered with, it will be returned to the customer at their own cost, and no refund or credit will be issued.
8. Out-of-Stock Replacements
If a replacement product is unavailable, we will offer a store credit or alternative product of equal value.
9. Final Disclaimer
Salon 500 reserves the right to decline a return or refund if the returned product does not meet the above conditions or if it shows signs of use inconsistent with normal handling.
